Planned: first tests at Plant #2 in 2030

Tap a card. Plug in. Go.

Juice Tap is the EV charger we are designing for our Parking Lot Power Plants. It will draw from the plant’s own solar canopy and battery, so drivers get clean power without adding to the grid’s evening peak.

Charging, made as simple as paying for coffee.

Juice Tap is being designed around a few simple ideas: nothing to sign up for, power from the plant, and a screen that tells you plainly what you are getting.

  • No app, no membership

Tap a credit card on the reader, plug in and charge. That is the whole process.

  • Powered by the plant

Each charger will draw from the canopy and battery it stands under, keeping its load off the grid at peak.

  • Green Juice on screen

The energy you charge is Green Juice. The power flowing into your car is Green Juice Flow.

  • Connected

Each Juice Tap is designed to connect over Wi-Fi, so availability, sessions and upkeep can be tracked live.

Where the Green Juice comes from.

  1. Sun on the canopy

Solar panels over the parking stalls make power all day.

  2. Stored in the battery

What drivers do not use right away is stored on site.

  3. Into your car

Juice Tap will draw from the canopy and battery first, day or evening.

The plan, in order.

Power plants first, then charging. Each step proves the next.

Questions people ask

When can I charge at a Juice Tap?

Not yet. Juice Tap is in design. We plan to test it at Plant #2 in 2030 and roll it out across our sites after our sixth plant.

Will I need an app or a membership?

No. The goal for every Juice Tap is simple: tap a credit card, plug in and charge. No app, no account and no membership.

Why build chargers into power plants?

A charger that draws from the solar canopy and battery it stands under adds little load to the grid at peak times. The plant’s storage does the heavy lifting.

What do Green Juice and Green Juice Flow mean?

They are the names you will see on the screen. Green Juice is the energy you have charged, in kilowatt-hours. Green Juice Flow is the power flowing into your car right now.
